A ground power unit or GPU is something which one can use for carrying out repair and maintenance work where there is no electricity. Drilling, sawing and many other repair works require power and here aircraft GPU can be very helpful for commercial pilots. Even if the pilot is stuck at a very remote location, he can carry out these functions easily.
